A dive into the Middle Ages with "The Malatestas in Fano"

Re-enactments, shows and processions to relive the Malatesta era from 5 to 7 July.

Fano is once again transformed into a spectacular page of history with the 2024 edition of the " I Malatesta a Fano " festival , which will be held from 5 to 7 July. For three days, the city recalls the Malatesta era through historical re-enactments , shows and processions that will take us back in time to the Middle Ages.

July 5th marks the start of the celebrations with the arrival of Pandolfo III Malatesta, followed by fire-breathing shows and dancing. On July 6, the wedding between Pandolfo III and Paola Bianca brings joy and celebrations with banquets, jesters, musicians and falconers. The festival concludes on July 7 with the Giuochi tra i Castelli, an archery competition followed by theatrical performances.

Every day, the medieval village opens its doors with activities for all ages, from military demonstrations to children's games, without forgetting the taverns that offer a taste of the gastronomy of the time.
